On behalf of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) and CNA, we are pleased to advise that the World Health Organization Commission on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) will be releasing its draft report for public consultation in the coming days and encourage all our members to participate.
We highly encourage you to contribute to this web-based public consultation which will be open from April 16 to 26, 2018. It is expected that a link for consultation will be posted on this website (http://www.who.int/ncds/governance/high-level-commission/en/). ICN’s strategic partner, Nursing Now, has created a guide for the NCD Consultation. This can be found by following this link http://www.nursingnow.org/influencing-ncds-commission-guide/#
In the attached two documents, you will find ICN’s letter of invitation and their recommendations to the Commission, which focuses solely on the nursing profession. By engaging in this consultation and supporting ICN’s recommendations, we have a unique opportunity to ensure the nursing profession plays an active role in the fight against NCDs. ICN will continue to put the latest information on the NCD Commission on their website and we encourage you to check this regularly.
Please take the time to engage and provide your feedback in this important consultation process.
Thank you for your time and attention.
